Rules & Regulation
ORGANISING COMMITTEE
The Organising Committee of MS3 is the Management and appointed Club Staff that shall be responsible for the running of the Championship and reserves the right to limit the number of entries or modify the conditions of the Championship as it deems fit.
VENUE AND DATE
The Qualifying Event shall be played during the Monthly Medal for Men and Ladies which date is set by the respective Golf Club.
ENTRIES
All entries must be submitted ONLINE on the prescribed form together with the payment through their respective clubs which the closing date and time is after 30 minutes of the official starting time of every Monthly Medal.

The Organising Committee reserves the right to accept, refuse or withdraw any
entry if found questionable.
CLOSING DATE
The Closing Date is the day of the event after 30 minutes of the official starting time and any cancellation of entries for the Malaysian Monthly Medal after the Closing Date, the entrance fee shall be forfeited.
ELIGIBILITY
The tournament is open to all Golf Club members that is male and female players who are amateur golfers in accordance to the Rules of Amateur Status issued by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and have a Club handicap of 24 and below for male, 36 and below for female. Participant without a handicap issued by the MGA/NHS are not eligible to participate unless they are in accordance with the USGA Handicap System. If the Champion are not able to represent the club then the club shall decide the next person in line to play in the qualifying round.
Eligibility Format
CLUB LEVEL - 1nd Round & 2nd Round
- Once qualify for the Grand Finals, the players are not eligible to be selected again during the 1st Round & 2nd Round and Semi Finals including not eligible to win the Malaysian Monthly Medal prizes in any of the monthly medal.
- If you are not selected during the Semi
Finals you may enter again on the next monthly medal to start the
same process again.

FORMAT OF COMPETITION & PRIZES
THE CHAMPION - shall be decided by
Club Level 1st Round - 30 players (15 Nett & 15 Gross) qualify for 2nd Round
Prizes - 16 prizes based on top 8 Overall Gross and Nett
Club Level 2nd Round - 60 players Participate
6 players (3 Nett & 3 Gross) qualify for Semi Finals
Prizes - 6 prizes based on Top 3 Overall Gross and Nett
Semi Finals (25 Venue) - 5 players (3 Nett & 2 Gross) from each venue qualify for Grand Finals
Prizes - 20 prizes based on top 10 Overall Gross and Nett
Grand Final - 30 players will be the winners
Prizes - 15 prizes based on top 15 Gross and Nett.
Male or Female which is played over 18 holes,
The Committee's have the right in the event of circumstances which make the playing of 18 holes impractical, to cancel any round or postpone to other dates or rounds at its discretion.

- If still tie, it will be decided on next month result who ever the lowest Monthly Medal result to determine the winner.
The tournament is open to all junior golfers who are amateur golfers in accordance to the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews with valid handicap index of 18 and below for boys and 24 and below for girls who have not reached their 18TH birthday on the 1st January 2009. A National Handicap Card must be available for this event.

SEMI FINALS - ACCOMODATION
The organizing Committee will provide the players with subsidize accommodation for those who qualified for the Semi Final event.
GRAND FINALS TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE AND ACCOMODATION
The organizing Committee will provide the players with full accommodation and travelling allowance for those who attended the Grand final event.
CONDITIONS OF PLAY
The events shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules Ltd and the Local Club Rules of the event venue.
CANCELATION or POSTPONED OF MONTHLY MEDAL
In the event shall the club fail to organize the Monthly Medal due to any circumstances, the club shall decide on other dates to ensure a qualifier winner is declared before the end of every month. If the club decide to organise a lucky draw during the event, all the players shall then will not be qualify for that month. If the club fails to select a date on the same month, the club shall then brought forward the prizes to the following month which MS3 organizer will not recognized the previous month qualifier except for the players paid entrance fee for the current month only.
AMATEUR STATUS
The players are advice of the Rules of Amateur Status which states that any player who redeemed a prizes or value which is above the limit of amateur status shall be forfeited of their amateur status in accordance with the Rules of Golf. (Rule 9)
TIMES OF STARTING
The draws of starting times / groups will be made by the Committee and competitors shall start at the times laid down by the Committee. In the absence of circumstances which warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in Rule 33.7, if a competitor arrives at the starting point ready to play within five (5) minutes after her starting time, penalty for failure to start on time shall be two (2) penalty strokes instead of disqualification. Penalty for lateness beyond 5 minutes is disqualification.
PACE OF PLAY
The attention of the competitors is drawn to Rule 6-7 regarding undue delay. In the interest of fair play, the Committee will not hesitate to impose the penalties as provided by that Rule.

Penalties
1 bad time = Official Warning
2 bad rimes = One (1) Penalty Stroke
3 bad times = Additional two (2) Penalty strokes
4 bad times = Disqualification

REFEREES' DECISION
Under the Rule 34-2 of the Rules of Golf, the appointed Referees' decision is final.
SCORE CARDS
Score Cards must be submitted as soon as possible on completion of the round and in any case, not later than 15 minutes after the completion of the round. A score card is deemed to be submitted the moment the competitor leaves the scoring area.
CLOSE OF COMPETITION
The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the trophy has been presented to the winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when the committee has approved all scores.
INTERPRETATION
The Rules and the Decisions Committee of the management shall be sole authority in the interpretation of the General Conditions of the Championship and its decision shall be binding and final.
